I get a lot of grief from mates (and my missus, who usually shares my taste in music) for my love of this band ..... from their early New York Dolls/Trash days, right through to their masterpiece final album, Tin Drum.

Mick Karn was a phenomenal, distinctive bass player. (RIP)

Nightporter is one of my favourite songs ever. A beautiful number.

Wilco are so, so good and Geoff Tweedie is such a great musician and songwriter. To add to your Americana artists: Howe Gelb (Giant Sand) and the Willard Grant Conspiracy, another band who are, sadly, now defunct following the death of frontman/singer/songwriter/occasional guitarist Robert Fisher in 2017.
