There is a world of difference between being self centred and messing with kids.
For all Morriseys sins, he seems to have his heart in the right place even though he does tend to put his foot in his mouth too often.

Has Morrissey even been seen at a United match?
If, as I suspect is the case, he has not, then he is not a Rag.
It is more a case of image for him. He is not a fan of West Ham, Millwall, Chivas or whichever team he chooses to flirt with either. In fact, I'd be almost certain that he is not a football fan full stop.
Johnny Marr and Mike Joyce on the other hand, both go to games, so I would argue the Smiths were actually a blue band.
