Great banner that. Well done to your mate.
Didsbury Dave, take a bow. Hyperbole at its very best !Didsbury Dave said:kenzie115 said:Didsbury Dave said:Correct.
Seems like a bit of a random thing to put on that particular banner.
I think the idea is the juxtaposition between the sentiment of the song and the reality of the end of last season. The banner asks the reader to examine their support of Manchester City and the emotions it stirs. It challenges the heart and soul to accept the wayward nature, and occasional joy, of football support. It also throws a humorous challenge to supporters of other teams, in the best tradition of football rivallry. I'd say it's situationism at it's best.

These are great examples of our wit and humour and proves that we will never become like that lot in TRAFFORD.
I hope you don't mind me correcting your post Vienna_70 but that lot are in Trafford!! As a proud Ecclesian, who, without being asked, has been taken over by Salford I do not want to be put in the same basket as that lot!! No offence meant to you. :-)
No offence taken, Mr Eccles, as I wouldn't wish to offend a fellow Citizen.
However, my better half, who was brought up in Stretford, and is as Blue as any of us, assures me that the swamp is in Salford.
She also told me that a Salford sign was put up by the council, not far from the theatre of debt, and it was promptly removed after scum objected to it!
