Santacruz? WTF!?! He's too injury prone... one good season and that was it. Not good enough IMHO

Would get us into the top 4. Having the likes of SWP, Petrov and Johnno on the bench would give us great strength in depth and the opportunity to challenge on all silverware fronts much more comfortably. Don't think signing Chiellini or Benzema is too far fetched either.

santa cruz my arse! id rather have elano right wing with swp stepping in when needed

GIVEN
ZABALETA DUNNE LESCOTT BRIDGE
KOMPANY
WRIGHT-PHILLIPS ROBINHO
IRELAND
AGUERO VILLA

HART, RICHARDS, ONUOHA, ELANO, DE JONG, PETROV, BOJINOV

no offence but I think some of you need to be a bit more realistic with who you would like to see us sign

If the business world has taught me anything it is that it pays to think big, be ambitious, be bold and be aggressive. These are the players we need to go for. People will hark back to the Kaka mess as a bit of an embarrassment for the club but if you were to level similar proposals to 5 different players/clubs I guarantee you that at least 1 would agree and we’d get our man, especially in this economic environment – it’s a numbers game, plain and simple.

oh for sure I agree, there is nothing wrong with City showing ambition etc I am all for it, if we get someone of Kaka's ability and stature great, but when I look at the players mentioned Aguero etc I really can't, despite our finances, see us attracting them. Not yet anyway. Also I don't think there is any chance of signing Villa!!

Players like De Jong, Kompany's etc are players we should and will probably go for and get, enabling us to develop and build a strong squad, then we can add 1 or 2 top top quality players.

so,u are in the Hughes out camp!this is where our differences lie!!
Hughes has made mistakes this season, but so has Sir Alexander!
Listen to every pro talking about Hughes, they dont have a bad word to say about him,he will get it right given the chance,he knows what he wants and knows what success looks like, hes been there!!
As for Mourinho would you want to watch that boring shit he drummed up at chelsea every week i wouldnt.Yes he won some trophies but alot of his signings were shite,he wasted MILLIONS
MUTU
DEL HORNO
FERRIERA
SWP
DUFF
PARKER
VERON
TBH
SHEVCHENKO
To name a few he inherited his best players Lampard And Terry

Mutu,Duff,Parker and Veron were there before Mourinho. Sheva was Abramovich's buy. Ferreira was quite solid in his first two seasons and was a part of the defensive lineup that were unbeaten at home for quite a while and set the record in the least conceded goals in a season, in 2004/05(15). Ben Haim came on a free and was sold for profit, Del Horno cost relatively little.

I personally think Jose's transfer record is not his strong suit but he more than makes up for it with his other qualities.

I am pretty sure his buy-out clause is almost 100 euros, that just seems an extremely optimistic number. I would love to have him, but I cannot see it at that price.

Aguero's buyout clause is 48 million euros. Half of what we'd have paid for Kaka

Given
Glen Johnson, Hangeland, Onouha, Bridge
Yaya Toure, De Jong, Ribery
Ireland, Robinho
Eto'o

Bench
SWP
Michael Johnson / Kompany / Zabba
Petrov / Downing
Boj / Caicedo / Aguero
Micah / Dunnie

Loan out
Hart

ps, not sure why part of my team is make believe, part is wanted, part is expected. I guess it should be one or the other, er , or the other other. doesn't even look that good now.

Be realistic guys.
