My YouTube channel - Episode 48 (P26)

That Taftsville bridge is one hefty boy isn't it which is just as well because all of their other bridges fell foul to the weather?

My theory about the arches is they ran out of wood :) On a side note my wife spends more to renovate our kitchen than the entire bridge cost to build.

Is that the same location of the dam built by Taff for his sawmill?

That footage from storm Irene is insane, yet strangely and unsurprisingly Americans are drawn to anything that might explode like Moths to a flame actually stood on a bridge that looks like it might get either swept away or blown up at any minute.

Don't go in the river you have 73 more videos to make ;-) Scrub that last comment after watching your mountain Goat act.

It was the first thing I thought when I saw that video of the storm - “why would you go and stand on a wooden bridge with all that water pouring under it / against it?”

Was out for 13 hours yesterday (90 mins each way drive included) filming at 6 new bridges and also revisited 3 others from my last trip to finish them off.
Five of them had quite steep banks and the other had a ford next to it for bigger vehicles to bypass the bridge, perfect for a Jeep!

Yes Taft dammed the river at this site.

Great video as usual mate. Love watching these in bed before sleep. Looks absolutely beautiful there, you really are living the dream. Fantastic work and great to learn a little bit about each one.
Are you saying you watch my videos to send you to sleep? Lol
Thanks, just glad folk enjoy them.
Next weeks video is a double header with 2 episodes together (the reason why will be revealed) and after that the next 9 are of a more quieter nature, set in rural Vermont. No big stories behind them but still unique in their own way.
Thanks for watching :)

Have you really thought this through mes.
If the first one puts everyone to sleep no-one will ever see the second one.

:)

I really enjoyed your last video, but I feel you're lacking in the monster content department.
Surely there are some mythical creatures to pretend you've seen, or at least the odd picture of a log floating away.
Maybe you could interview a clearly unhinged local, who swears they've seen it?

Ha ha I filmed yesterday at a bridge I did the bulk of the filming 3 weeks ago, was only meant to there a few mins to add a couple of points I missed last time. Next thing is there is an old bloke (80's??) coming towards me with a scythe over his shoulders! "It's the grim reaper!" I shouted..... He let me film him walking through and didn't mind me referring to him as the grim reaper. Just as I was about to set off, he returned and wanted to show me something which he fetched from the wooden shack he lived in next to the bridge. I won't ruin the surprise as to what he showed me (and no it wasn't his dick before anyone asks) but he was a right character, a Vermont redneck! This will be shown in 2 weeks time, episode 30.

Haha twisted my words better than the wife does there think they just proper chill me out. I'm not really a fan of the States apart from the states like Vermont, Oregon and Massachusetts. Look like places you could spend a lifetime exploring. Looking forward to the next episode.

After next weeks double episode, the next 9 I’ve filmed are very rural except one. It’s a completely different world than the hustle and bustle of the big cities. The vast majority of the time there is no signal on the phone and all but one are on dirt roads. Time has definitely stood still in these parts

Sounds like a dream pal. Ideal place to get cut off from civilization in the winter in 6 foot of snow

I was very proud to have received an “Outstanding Achievement” award from Okemo Valley TV at their annual awards event, presented to me by their Executive Director, Patrick Cody.
I had no idea how to edit or produce film content until I walked into the studio in October last year and Rebekah spent many patient hours working with me, teaching me how to edit and produce.

So for OVTV themselves to give me this award after just eight months is the highest compliment they can give me and a testament to the fantastic work that they do in the community with individuals and groups.
And the award is made from wood too, which is quite apt given my content!
