Nadine Dorries

Standing down with immediate effect from one of the safest seats in the House.

She'd already said she was going at the next general election, so it's just forcing a by-election to screw over Sunak.

Going now though does look like a step in the Johnson-Sunak war, especially if she got kicked off her undue gong. Absurd woman and nothing befits her more than her departure.

Do wonder whether things are going to be revealed in the inquiry that are perhaps best avoided.

One of the safest seats vacated.
Johnson to move over before general election?

18 years as MP means she's heading for a nice MP pension of probably 18/40th of her final pensionable salary.
Basic MP salary being £86,584 plus around £15k for being on a select committee.
Pension of maybe £45k, plus appearances on "I was a nobody celebrity, leave me in here to give me publicity" and Only Fans *** shudders ***

Possibly, but surely it must dawn on Sunak at some point that Johnson needs binning completely or he will always be a poison, squatting on the backbench.

Not sure Dorries had much input over Covid that's known of at the moment, but it looks timed for the honours list leak.
