Nadine Dorries

Ms Dorries used her article to argue for her place in the House of Lords, writing: "I was born into poverty and clawed my way out of it to build a new life for me and my family, and then carved out a role in public service.
"A seat in the Lords was recognition of that - and a means of continuing to give back to society.

Cheeky entitled cow.

Its inevitable a neighbour or relative will debunk her myth any day now - plenty of LW journo's will be all over it and find people to say something along the line of yeah it was a poor area but she and her family were not dirt poor.

Loved the quote I heard today was she is making herself out to be "a character created by Catherine Cookson whereas in reality she is a character created by Katherine Tate"
