Yes he didn't come back till March after that injury in the cup game early January.To us older, more immature,followers, that Swindon Town match was the earlier version of York away.
I know of at least 60,000 people who will swear blind that that they were in that crowd of 8015.
I wasn't at York away, but I was there at that match.
On the subject of Swindon and Jimmy Murray, I seem to remember that it was at that cup match away where he injured his knee. He was never the same again, unfortunately.
Derek left for Palace July 65.Not sure where Derek Kevan went from City. I was at the Valley when he scored in the first match of the 63/64 season we lost 2-1. I think an ACL injury finished the career of Jimmy Murray at City, they couldn't repair that injury in those days. Smashing partnership though.
