Nani

When Nani is on his game, he is one of the best in the league. Seen him take apart teams by himself. Vastly superior to Walcott, who is also inconsistent.

Madness for rednose to sanction that

Nani is pretty much talented as Ronaldo is IMO, so that should say who'd I want at City.

He is very inconsistent though but that might change if he changes the club, he never really was one of Ferguson's ass lickers, so he probably doesn't even try too much, specially in last year or so.

It goes deeper than that, ideally we wouldnt swap Nani for walcott in any universe and at this stage i doubt fergie would see it as a swap, more like getting a replacement of a good standard whilst ridding himself of a player he clearly has had enough of, for whatever reason, apparently Nani was offered to zenit in the summer, deal collapsed due to his wage demands of 200k per week, for whatever reason we wont give him a new contract, dont know why, few rumblings about his performance or lack of as the case was against you lot at the etihad last season being the final straw, if thats the case id imagine the entire team and fergie himself should be on the transfer list if were judging players based on that night, to single Nani out is idiotic at best.

I doubt walcott will come to United, dont see what he or United gains from it, hes not gonna play where he wants to and we already have better where he currently operates, hed be a decent option for you guys mind, pace and width down your right hand side is what your all crying out for isnt it? and Arsenal are more your feeder club than ours, RVP aside.

Would he wanna go to Liverpool though? granted Arsenal are shite right now but they're still a better top 4 bet than Liverpool for my money, it would be a step down from Arsenal and thats saying something!

Chelsea i have a horrible feeling are gonna get Falcao which isnt good for either of us.

Well, he isn't world beater too to be honest. Decent player, very good on his day (that are not each weekend), nothing more. Liverpool are still bigger club than he is a player.

What are his options?

City eventually if decide that his pace could help, nothing more as he's not better than any City current striker.

United eventually as Ferguson could never have enough fast players and his age could lure Ferguson though not sure if there's serious interest there; he is player who could fit United's style but you're packed on his positions already.

Chelsea very eventually but they have Sturridge on his place and will probably go for more class for central striker place...

and liverpool.

Doubt Barca and Real are taking loans to bring him :)

Hmmm its a tough one, its obvious he dosnt want to stay at Arsenal otherwise hed have signed a contract months ago so he obviously feels hes outgrown them, thats why i dont see him going to liverpool, despite being an historical giant of the english game the harsh truth is as of now they are barely a top half team, how long is suarez gonna stick it out there? and if he goes Liverpool are truly fucked! hes the only reason they even mid table!

I dont see Abramovich wanting walcott, hes not his type in my opinion and he buys the players there we all know that, besides would you want to work under that mess Benitez?

I think hed be a good buy for you tbh, you lack pace and he has it in abundance and you lack width and he gives you that, whether hes good enough to hold down a regular slot in your team is another matter and with Mancini having an anti winger mentality i guess its unlikely, your right he wouldnt get a game up front for you which was the point i was making about us to, walcott sees himself as a long term number 9, no way is he getting that at either Manchester club which again limits his options.

He will end up at Liverpool, as I think he is the type of striker Brendan Rodgers is after and Walcott will get to play the position he wants to play. It is not solely down to money with Walcott.

He doesn't want to be played wide apparently. If that is the case he won't come to City definitely. If it's only excuse to move from Arsenal, then yes, City might be an option and I wouldn't mind him.

Yup hes said that, my argument to that would be would he rather be a wide player at City or a striker at liverpool?

Nani?

He's not even the best winger at United.

Valencia is much more influential than him, more of a danger.

Few United lads i know who go home and away said the same, they always said Rooney played better when Valencia did.

Nani is easily the best winger at United, when hes on his game, when hes not hes next to useless, but talent wise hes miles ahead of Valencia, Valencia is more consistent, id say Gary Nevilles assessment of Valencia is about perfect, a 7-8 out of ten player pretty much every week.

Nani's top level is on another planet though and he can be consistent, 35 assists in 40 odd games between the start of 2010 and end of 2011 was proof of it, he carried us when Rooney went awol.

I agree. I rate Nani very highly but somehow his career at Utd seems to have nose-dived

A couple of years ago he and Rooney were the players on the team I feared.

Valencia by his standards has been very poor this season yes, but apparently hes been carrying a hip injury for most of it, the injury that had caused him to miss our previous 4 games before he came back sunday, and he still didnt look right and came off injured apparently, class winger Valencia, one of the very best in the league clearly, but an on form Nani is a much better player which is why many United fans dont want to see him go.

Is inevitable now though.

Must divide opinions amongst Utd fans then. The two I know at work are always slagging him off, but I really rate him. Not on form at the moment though. Seems like relationship between him and the manager have broken down, and when that happens it's very difficult to get back

Yup thats about right, there was a period a couple of years ago when there were genuine claims he was our best player, Rooney included, he was brilliant for about 18 months, last season he was poor after a decent start, this season, well we've spent 6 months trying to sell him to Zenit, hes hardly played, theres a clear problem between him and the manager, he wants a bigger contract, we for some reason dont think he merits it.

The irony of this is we seemingly will be happy to replace him with a Zaha or Walcott.....righty oh then......

I can honestly say in all my years following United very few if any players have divided opinion as much as Nani has/does, some genuinely dont like him due to his antics and selfishness sighting his wannabe Ronaldo levels of indulgence, early years that was probably fair, but he proved he was good enough soon after, some just struggle to take to him, hes the polar opposite of Valencia who everyone loves, Valencia will run through brick walls for the team, very simple no nonsense player who thinks of others first, plus hes very good to obviously but hes a team man first and foremost, Nani is an individual, a brilliant one at times, but when hes not on form his selfishness drives people bonkers, its a catch 22 really, you either take the rough with the smooth with that sort of player or you make your mind up and never change it, that basically is what Nani has become amongst United fans.

I love the bloke personally, theres only a handful of wingers in world football who can do what he can do, he can win you games out of nothing through his own magic, you could probably make a youtube video of about twenty 30 yard strikes left foot or right foot in his time with us, never seen anyone strike a ball so sweetly off either leg so consistently form such distances.

Hes a gonner though, your right, there's a rift between him and Fergie and theres only ever usually one outcome when that happens.
