That last 15 minutes was an absolute masterclass on how to close out a game. When the two Silva's came on they couldn't get near us. The ball retention was stunning

I can't remember any team ever having that much possession of a football, and the only answer they had was kick us, if they got close, which they rarely did.

That was an outstanding performance game managed in a way we have never done before. That will win us games we might not have won in the past being able to conserve energy and switch tactics so well.

The sad thing for Napoli who deserve to go through is they must beat Shaktar next up but if they do and we win (which seems hard not to imagine even at half gear) then we win the group already and yet they then still need us to turn up at Shaktar and get something or they are out.

That must be so frustrating for them as if this happens and they get the necessary win then we are not going to go full strength to Donetsk given the United game straight after.

The thing that pleases me most in hindsight is that we've won such a tough game, in such emphatic style, despite getting the first Shit Kev appearance of the season. People talk about how we'd struggle without him, but he was pretty terrible today and it didn't stop us one bit, other players stepped up and did the business and then by the end he was starting to get into the flow a bit. We are so dominant in so many areas that no one player is key to our form, we can carry one or two who aren't having a good game and still have far too much for even quality opposition. Fucking terrifying

Many don't realise just how good Napoli currently are which means this result will go a little under the radar but that was such a statement. We wasn't at our best but we still won comfortably away from home. Fernandinho was phenomenal, as was Stones and Delph

So much to enjoy tonight after the early nail-biting. The difference it gave us when David S came on was incredible. He's always available for a pass and is amazing at both keeping possession and laying off perfect balls for the likes of Sane to run on to. A crucial substitution imho
