Napoli attendance {merged}

Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

Any City fan who doesn't attend on Wednesday is not and can never be a 'big blue'. Simple as that.

Also, Silva, Mancini, Aguero and the sheikh himself will definitely leave us.

Also a slight chance that the world will implode should we fail to not only sell out but have 60'000 angry fans locked out due to high demand.

I mean, if 'Man Yoo' can sell out every game ever, 90'000 at their last reserve game, then we should at least be able to match them.

Thursday morning could actually see me becoming a Fulham fan unless the numbers turn up the night before.

A medium blue who hopes his attendance on Wednesday will elevate him to big blue status.

Lots and lots of Rags on this thread.

I'll be there and I just wish my dad was.
Cant wait for the Champions League entry music

Fu*k the rest
Spot on, don't care who else is there so long as I am. I'm hoping there are no delays in flying, as I have to fly from Scotland to London Wednesday lunchtime, then drive to Manchester.

Well aren`t you the fucking hard kid on the block !!
How the fuck do you know what individuals personal circumstances are, both home life and financially.
I fookin despair with some of you lot.
I wouldn't bother despairing too much, there's a feint smell of WUM in that post, I wonder where from ?

Seeing theres been some terrible posts from some of our so called fans,I wasn`t sure if it was a Wum,or another fookin Blue worrying what the "neighbours" will think.
I honestly think it's the daft kids amongst our support, who have become sucked into this mam united attendance obsession .

Can't be easy being a young city fan surrounded by those glory hunting jokers and their obsession with the "size" and support of a club.

The only thing I ever agree with you one which means it's probably right.

I grew up being the token blue surrounded by shitty rags, didn't bother me, I just grew some balls and figured there's more to life than attendances.

As long as I'm there, I couldn't give a gaping twat who else shows up.

Corrected for you.

I really don't know why we react to these kids to be honest, there will be plenty of blues that don't go on Wednesday, but I won't be concerned by any of them, its their choice (loss). I was to young to watch us in the European Cup last time, and for many many years I never imagined it would ever happen again, so I'd do everything possible to be there, as will most.

I actually think we'll have about 45k there, not a sell out, but we don't have the supporters that united/liverpool/arsenal have, and in many ways I hope we never do.

Re: 28k (ish) for Napoli?

We have always attracted a number of fans for which the main pleasure seems to be to moan at the team and explain how they could do better.

Could it be that playing in the Champions League for £25 is just the final straw for them and they can't face the prospect of not being able to complain? Perhaps that's why our support remained so high when we were crap and we can't please all the people all of the time!

Just a theory :-)

Listen we have that angle covered, when we can't moan about the game we can still moan about Hugh Ferris or the HT entertainment or smoking in the bogs or not being airlifted to our seat if we're on crutches, etc.

True. When I stood in the Kippax there was this guy, must have been about 65, and he always stood in the exact same spot. Above him there was a tiny hole in the roof and when it rained he got a constant drip drip drip on his head. He moaned that he was getting wet most matches. One day I could take no more and asked him why he didn't just take a step to his left and avoid the rain. The rely? I've stood here for 30 years why should I have to move?

Years of under achievement has done this to us. The next generation won't understand!

Hope the atmospheres class for this one ! Will the lights be turned off before kick off again like in previous night matches or will it still be too light to do that?
