Just come back from holiday and stayed near Naples, if you get the chance and time allows a visit to Pompeii and Sorrento is well worth while.

(admission to Pompeii is 11 Euro.. off memory)

Thats what I fancy doing as want to stay in Naples. Going the day of the game then fly back from Rome morning after.

I suspect a lot of people will be flying into Rome Campiano and getting the three-hour train from Termini to Naples.

It's about 45 minutes on the Terravision coach from the airport to Rome.

Yep doing this, though the train journey looks quicker - 70 minutes on the fast line, 130 mins on the slower. At least 2 trains per hour. Got flights on ryanair out tuesday back wednesday afternoon. Flights cost £66 with fees.

2 of us flying stanstead rome via ryan air - tues am return weds afternoon. just booked cheap train rome to naples for £20 each return (2 hours 13 mins and this is slower train)
