If we play as casual as we have in the last 2 fixtures they'll win. Hoping Pep can get the players focused again.

Strongest team. I think we'll find this easier than the home game, then we can put this competition to bed for a few months and carry the confidence into the Arse game.

1-3

this is going to be very tough. such a tough place to win. I know pep won't go for a draw but I would be ok with a point as I think many teams could lose there in the CL.

Many say strongest team but De bruyne and David were a little off for me against WBA.

Both deserve a rest. Gundogan and Bernardo should start and I don’t think we’ll lose much quality there.

Napoli are playing today and Jorginho and Allan are starting which means Diawara and Zielinski will 100% start against us in the CL. Also today Sarri is starting Mertens, Callejon & Insigne, I could see one of the 3 being rested against us. This front 3 have started 10 games in a row right now and Sassuolo are 15th in Serie A, it would of been a perfect chance to rest one of them but he didn’t today.

As they will rotate in midfield it would be a mistake to start De bruyne and David as their energy levels won’t be even close to Napoli’s midfielders.

I would go with the following.

—————————-Ederson———————
Danilo———Otamendi—-Stones——Delph—
————————Fernandinho———————-
————Gundogan———Bernardo—————
Sterling————Aguero————-Sane———

I know Jesus would be better to start due to his pressing but he’s seems a little off lately and has played a lot. I would start Aguero against Napoli and Jesus against Arsenal.

This game is more important for us than it is for Napoli. Napoli have Shaktar at home and Feyenoord away both games they will most likely win and qualify 2nd.

I think we’ll win but can’t be disappointed with a draw either.

Think Walker needs a rest maybe to have him fresh for Arsenal.

Subs: Walker for Delph in the second half and switch Danilo to LB.

Jesus for Sane in the second half.

And either Yaya for Fernandinho to close out the game and rest Dinho or possibly De bruyne for Sterling.

The way the group's have been stacked/fairly drawn it doesn't matter that much if we finish first or second, with that in mind a point would be a great result ideally without and suspensions or injuries.

Part of me is thinking we've got 9 points from 9, so we should rotate a little bit in this game and have an eye on the weekend, beat Feyenoord at home and that should be enough.
Weirdly we aren’t that safe. If Feyenoord lose all their games (looking like they may) then we need a result at Napoli or in the last match at Shaktar (just before the derby). So it’s not as rosey as it could be. Could do with Feyenoord getting something on Wednesday.

Oh I agree, just pointing out that the other 2 games are easier than this. A point in this game guarantees us qualification, so I fully expect us to go strong and get qualified.
