i was in st agata (hilltop village o/s sorrento) a cple of months ago! me and the mrs went to naples travelling by public transport. We went to pompei and herculeum (sp) and central naples.

had a fantastic time, was there after dark and suffered no problems! brilliant trip!

as in any foreign city (or english/welsh one) show respect,don t take the piss and you should be ok! simple as that really!

to the recent italian poster, your fans will be ok in manchester. No united fans will attack you pretending to be city fans because manchester is largeley blue...most united fans live in the south of the country (or singapore)

Napoli is a real treasure,the historical part of the city it's unesco patrimonial of humanity,you can find church's from 1000 to 1700,part of greek and roman city,museums...and specially our way of live,much different from you.We look like spanish,we love the life...
We are not racist,we accept all the races and religions.
The north of italy hates us,we don't hate anyone...
The city has the problem that you can find in every metropolitan city.

Raileurope for the Paris Rome leg, the eurostar done direct but used eurostar points for that one so not sure if better/can use raileurope for that. Hope to see you aboard
