That's fairly understandable, any communications we'd be getting at that kind of distance would be fairly close to our current time period anyway.

And West Ham still to win the league. Having said that, we won't know for 200,000,000 years will we? They may be ahead of us (I don't know how or in what context), but it's a safe bet that West Ham still won't have achieved it by then!

That's like saying we're only mining for gold, then finding diamonds and throwing them away because they're not gold.

Do you think that there's only enough scientists to look into one thing at a time?
