A good point and certainly that must be a consideration,however,I'm sure such an obvious agenda would be thrown into the thinking and factored for.I still believe gaining as many opinions and as much information as possible does no harm,the skill is in sorting the facts and the positives.
 
Can't argue that, apart from KDB our signings have been absolute rubbish in the last three years, we have gone backwards.

Also consulting senior players is not a bad thing in the process, they will have a view of who is the hardest to play against, the most direct etc.
They should be consulted along with scouts etc, then the final decision lies with the management but the more info they have can only help.

Also players involved in player recruitment? Not for me, players play for themselves and they want to be on the pitch as often as possible why would they suggest losing game time to a better player? Maybe it is already helping?

Maybe you'd ask your defender as to how good the striker your looking at is. They mark them after all. I'd ask Sergio about a potential CB if I was after a tip. No?

I actually think he could turn out to be one of our key players next season. Pep will use him the way he should be used, and will keep him motivated all throughout the season.
 
The table looks a lot different if he doesn't miss nearly the entire season.

If we knew he was going to be fit around this time why have we put a young striker 'grini has no confidence in ahead of him in the CL squad? Yet another example of muddled thinking from the club.
