Probably bullshit - no mention in the French media and he only came on after 75 mins and didnt go off injured - very surprised if its true.
I saw the images... at the end the French medical staf was like putting something over his left hand; this being said, it's nowhere near as serious as some arse think/hope it would be...

In fairness IB the time you are on the pitch is irrelevant and this type of injury might only be uncovered in the aftermath well after the heat of battle.

Have no idea if true or not but hopefully if it is a fracture it will heal quickly and he can still play at 100 per cent ASAP.

Of any fracture you have one in the finger as opposed to the thumb is the best possible fracture to have if there is such a thing as best possible fracture.

Re: Nasri metatarsal injury?

I used to think that Arsenal were a classy club but in recent years they have been anything but. Remember the way their fans turn on anyone who has the gaul to leave them, they become hate figures, the antics of the dispicable van Persie and the constant moaning of fans and players alike in and on the national media. Classless

Re: Nasri metatarsal injury?

International breaks are a curse for injuries, an unnatural amount of them.

As for those comments by Arsenal fans, what can you say? They are second only to United amongst the most vile, obscene fanbases.

Re: Nasri metatarsal injury?

Nasri hasnt made any mention of it in his official twitter: Nanas08 . It sounds very minor.
Dan Taylor has posted article in paper
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/07/samir-nasri-breaks-hand-france" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011 ... and-france</a>
Manchester City are anxiously trying to ascertain the seriousness of Samir Nasri's condition after learning that their new £24m signing has broken a bone in his hand.

Nasri suffered the injury while on international duty with France, although it is unclear at this point precisely what happened. The former Arsenal player was introduced as a 75th-minute substitute in the 0-0 draw in Romania and finished the match with no apparent problems.

The early reports are of it possibly being a broken finger but City will know more when Nasri reports to the club later on Wednesday.

Nasri made his City debut in the 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane two weekends ago but the concern for his new club now is that he will be unable to make his first appearance at Eastlands against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Perhaps he's unable to type.

hahaha

Re: Nasri metatarsal injury?

Did were you copied in on the e-mail from Cook telling Nasri to stop complaining and pull his finger out. Incidentally, the matatarsal is definitely in the foot so somebody reported false information.

Re: Nasri metatarsal injury?

Some emerging clarity on the Samir Nasri injury report. Suggestions now he may have broken fifth metatarsal of his left hand, not his foot.

the 5th metacarpal is the little finger ffs. as injuries go this shouldn't affect an outfield player apart from possibly hindering throw ins a bit.

Well thats good can't be blamed for using GC's E-mails then.

Re: Nasri metatarsal injury?

Metacarpals and metatarsals I remember when a physio with a wet sponge would just say broken foot, that was until goldenbollocks got hurt.

And did the bloody Tarquins learn these nasty words at their plush private schools? Bend over Hamilton-Goldsmith..... but sir
