It was 100% Kompanys error. Though it is the first huge mistake i have seen him make in 3years, so he cannot be criticised.

Have to agree - thought Kompany's reaction told everything there, he clearly thought it was his mistake...

An old report but I hope we can get him by Swansea.

All this money spent and we only have one real attacking midfielder, can't believe that.
AJ, Yaya Toure, Suarez, Milner

As M.C.F.C.O.K said, most of these are not really what I was thinking of. I mean if Silva is injured can you really see Yaya or Milner filling in with similar effect? Suarez is but Suarez is 17 years old and I wasn't including prospects. Gai Assulin is the closest thing as he had something of a reputation coming into our club as a Messi type but even if injuries hadn't kept him out, there's no telling if Mancini would've used him.

Nasri will be a godsend even if he too is different to Silva.

Nasri would fit well into this team of bottlers :D
No one bottled anything. Kompany made an uncharacteristic error

Bit unfair on Kompany, not much he could have done. I would have expected Clichy to use his pace to cut across Nani and allow Vinny to drop deeper to clear up if the ball had gone loose from Clichy's challenge.

What I couldn't understand was why, when Kompany committed himself to challenge Nani, did Clichy move out wide rather than be in a position to challenge Nani when he got past Kompany.

because kompany never commited himself to challenge nani :s the ball was kompanys to lose and he fannied about with it and Nani challenged him. vinnie is world class no doubt, but this was his mistake 100%

Because Clichy was expecting our sensible Captain to play an easy ball to him, rather than make a bollocks up and lose possession to Nani.
Think you`ll find that it was Nani who challenged Kompany !!

Arse fans debating taking AJ + £10m for Nasri

If that was an option I'd take it.

That values Nasri at £26m-£30m, fuck that.

Plus AJ might be an ineffectual starter but there is no better impact sub in our squad.

You think Johnson is worth £16-20m? Seriously?

-- Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:35 pm --

Was a really awkward bounce, and I'm sure Kompany was more than aware that if one of the hairs on his leg had disturbed the air close enough to Nani he would have gone down like he had been decapitated, rolled fifty metres into the penalty area, burst into tears and been given a penalty, while Kompany was sent off for violent conduct.

Painful though it was at the time, I'd rather that didn't happen and we have Kompany available when the real games start next week.
