Rotation especially among the European elite is one of the biggest fallacies on this board. The fact is that Barcelona and Inter Milan before them all had a very set lineup. Contesting for Champions League and the Premier League would be quite easy if you could field two separate teams. But there isn't enough training and time to field two completely different teams and even if the team were to cycle forwards chemistry would be lost. There is a reason that most people can guess the front line for Barca on any given day.

For the most part, my fellow blues seem to suggest that Dzeko, Balotelli, Aguero and Tevez are going to share a single forward role or perhaps a two forward front at best. The issue isn't so much that a team can't have 4-5 strikers. The Rags do it, but with relatively lower profile players. The likes of Welbeck, Hernadez and Owen are all at the beginning or end of their careers. The one occasion where a major player has sit for them (Berbatov) he left and his future was placed in doubt for the entire summer.

There's already rumblings out of Chelsea that Anelka does not like sitting on the bench.

Its not completely crazy to suggest that once Nasri signs and the attacking midfield is supplanted with two creative playmakers and two forwards that playing time will become scarce. Carlitos is a headache. But he'll be a bigger headache if he isn't on the pitch, I'm sure you all remember the argument he and Mancini had while he was warming up.

Color me crazy... But one of these men will need to make way for a more veteran player who is comfortable with sitting long spells.
The comparison to be made is within the Premiership. It's much more physically demanding than La Liga where Real Madrid and Barcelona win nearly every game.

Look at how Utd approach their games. They make full use of all their players.

When it comes to February and March when you are playing crucial League games, and you're maybe in two Cups, you CAN NOT play the same eleven 3 times in 8 days week after week. And in order to get your squad players playing to their max they need regular football throughout the season.

Goodbye@cesc4official, we would miss&remember u. you left in a dignifying way. not like some ppl are about to do. not 2 mention thier NAS name

Edit:

Its not a real account, why do people do shit like that? Pretending to be a footballer.

Arsenal could easily go out of the champions league against udinese. no nasri, no fabregas, no van persie, no wilshere, wenger has a touchline ban. what happens then re bringing in new players / keeping the likes of wilshere and RVP

You are correct... if we win then league we can call ourselves the best in the land. If we don't, we can't. Either way, I'm sure we are gonna make significant progress this season.

I am not sure we can make significant progress without winning the league? I mean, we were joint 2nd on points last season.
What if we win the CL and Come Second by 1 point. Will that be signigicant progress? :P

Because they are sad

Even leaving aside injuries and suspensions, it is very common to underestimate the demands of Champions League football. Even fans of teams with years of experience of such football do so.

Highlighting these demands, Ferguson pointed out that all four Champions League semi-finalists in 2011 lost their league game following the first leg. And certainly Barca and Real Madrid were playing games they expected to win.

I think the same may have happened in 2010 - and that Ferguson also highlighted that at the time - but I cannot find a link. Someone with a better memory than me...

Do people think he will sign tonight or tomorrow? or never

Tomorrow. It would make much more sense to let him get his suspension out of the way tonight, so he's free to play in our 1st Chumps league game.

Nah, this is just untrue. With a first-choice midfield of Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta...

Keita played 56 (!) games last season
Mascherano: 45

I don't think Tevez would be happy to be rotated, granted, but then I don't think he'll be here on the 1st September either. Same goes for Adebayor.
