agree with yaya in a 2 man midfield - constantly see him letting his man run past him and not chase the ball cos he's blowing out his arse after a 30 yard run
Thank you....it seems some people here take every tactical criticism as an attack on the team. The reason why Mancini had to bring in Barry against Man u is the midfield was totally overrun. De Jong is a beast. i just dont think Toure next to him is gonna work against the better teams. He cant do a job in the re for 90 mins as he doesnt have the stamina and mobility

Do you think Nasri could slide back into a supporting holding midfielder position like Barry?

I'm not sure if he's defensively disciplined enough but Arsenal fans seem complementary of his defensive workrate.
No he cant hold, he can work back hard, but he's like Iniesta in that he drifts all over the place....so he would never stay in the middle disciplined

I disagree - I have seen him play are more holding role for france. And the difference between him and Iniesta is that he actually has pace and stamina both of which Iniesta does not possess.

Nah he can come down deep and link up play. but Nasri is not a player who will do 90 mins a job for you defensively..........like I said he's a drifter, likes to run with the ball and link up with others. He's not gonna get the ball and just pass it on and stay deep. His best position is on the right in a 4-3-3.........Thats where he played last season when he was on top form

Don't you just love the fact sky don't have a scooby what is going on !! Camera's everywere staking out key venues hopeing they get lucky !!

Like everybody in here then ain't it.

This is a fans forum !! Who have the odd so called ITK's !! Not a massive sports news agency proclaiming to have "sources" that know what is going on !! You just have to remember the yellow ticker shite on Nasri and the back tracking, City have well and truely kept them out of the loop and any leeks seem to be coming from the other end. Serves the fookers right. They are reduced to camping out in hope of getting lucky !!

I disagree. His best games last year came before xmas when Fabregas was injured and he was playing centrally. He even said himself that he doesn't like playing wide and wants to play through the middle. In our system I think Yaya will drop back in to Barry's position and Nasri will play where Yaya did as the furthest forward point of our midfield triangle.
