Anyone who knows anything about football knows that gareth barry is a very good player you dont play for england as many times as he did if your average you dont play for a top four team if your average just because his name isnt barrydinho doesnt mean he is not a good player

Of course he is a good player, but not that good. Nasri is a HUGE improvement. Someone who offers creativity and pace to the midfield. AND GOALS!

there 2 completely different players so why are you comparing them nasri is a attacking midfielder barry is defensive so please stop embarrassing yourself with silly comments

They are. Thats a good thing. = a more attacking side.

But Nasri is a much better footballer. Thats my point.

im sure stan collymore said before that nasri says he doesn't want to join manchester city. where the fuck has that idiot got that from?

Then why have we been pursuing him for the last god knows how many weeks? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever, mind you way this thread is going a lot of it doesn't make sense, hey ho the joys of the transfer window. :-)

From some shitty fan site last week mate! Was fanatix or something?? Reckons that nasri wants utd over us and is stalling on the deal lol!! Totally disregarding taggarts comments weeks ago that nasri had chosen someone else to sign for!! Besides their qualities I really want us to sign nasri and sneijder to see what these fuckers come out with next!!!

Reality is Nasri has said absolutely feck all - does anybody know that he wants to come?

Lets be honest he is hardly ripping up trees to get here is he

It is getting beyond ridiculas now - we should start looking for other targets if nothing is moving Monday

we have had numerous rumour latest being he cleared his lockerafter the game and said goodbye to backroom staff - last time i checked the lockers were at the training ground there is feck all to bring to matchday other than your boots

Nasri will still be there Monday and posters on here will still be reporting he is in Manchester having a medical

I was hesitant towards signing Nasri a few days ago but after todays performances and some old arsenal games he looks really good.

As much as i would hate to see Barry dropped we should be going far in all competitions this year so Mancini will need to pick different teams.

Barry for teams like FC Banana Bread in Russia and Nasri for Sporting blah blah.

Roll on the day he signs tbh!

He is no where near as bad as some people think he is.

He does his job well. Nothing more and nothing less.

Sometimes gets caught in possession but who doesnt and also he is slow but there is not many occasions for the position he plays that he needs to be lightening quick.

your doing it again. is he a better tackler, tracker back, reading the defensive side of the game, determination and strength no he probably isnt but is nasri a better attacking player of course he is. you can not compare attacking players to defensive players they do different jobs therefore need different attributes so no he is not necessarily a better player because they do different jobs.
and by the way do not think i dont rate nasri i think he is a great addition to the squad and could be a world class player but i just dont see why people are comparing him to barry

Then who do you want to drop? NDJ? Yaya or Silva?

To be fair....i meant that who wouldn't want Barry dropped? The guy is lucky to still get so many starts.

De Jong, Yaya, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko, BARRY.......Nasri would be a HUGE improvement. He is an avarge player playing in one of the best midfields in the world. Pretty much same with Lescott.

Anyone who knows anything about football knows that gareth barry is a very good player you dont play for england as many times as he did if your average you dont play for a top four team if your average just because his name isnt barrydinho doesnt mean he is not a good player

I am not trying to start a small, underfunded, provincial conflict but I submit the following names of often capped players for your review: Ferdinand, Neville, Hargreaves, Heskey, Lennon, and James. Also, most accounts have Barry losing out to Wilshere once he is healthy.

What once was may not always be.

This Gareth Barry debate i find baffling

He was pretty much a first choice last season in a team that finished joint second and won the FA cup - people need to get a grip
