How confident are you rick that he won't sign??bearing in mind arsenal have intially fucked us around and the only thing left is the agent?? Mancini stated it's very close and should be sorted asap and I mentioned yesterday morning that wenger had begged to play nasri as he had no midfielders left!!
whaaaaaaat......thats the worst theory ever. Why would he beg another team to play his own player? And he has other midfielders, sure they are younger and not as good. But he could play Lansbury who's U21 England international for example.
Mate on this one my info has come from the arsenal end!!! Arsenal board room member to be accurate!! All the reports of deal to be done Thursday/Friday, sky at the etihad?? Abit too much smoke without fire wouldn't you say? Deal was done and agreed but with no DECENT midfielders available arsenal wanted to use nasri!! This agent fee is causing a stand off at present though.

I remember from last night that there were rumours about Nasri clearing his locker and saying his goodbyes - has there been any more credence added to this story since?

He's no replacement for Gareth Barry that's for sure. Totally different player. He's an attacking player who sprints going forward & jogs going back. Be great for us when we're on top in games & bossing the play but would still need Barry & DeJong behind him if he's to play in big games v the top teams.

How do Barry, De Jong, Yaya, Silva and Nasri share the pitch? Unless Nasri is played wide I don't see it happening. This team needs possession. The rags showed us that if we sit back they'll pick the lock. We can't settle for 40-45% possession against the likes of Swansea. Even if were scoring goals. Dzeko and Aguero have to be on the field together as well. They complete one another.

He'll play Nasri where AJ plays

So you're in the pool that say Nasri is a winger? I'd say he's a midfielder myself. Incredibly tough decisions for Roberto.

flatter to deceive.......I have been saying as long as I been on this forum. nasri is not great in the middle except for his ball carrying ability. As far as being decisive with his passing goes....there's nothing there. having said that he actually played very well compared to how he plays in the middle
the refuge of anyone losing a 'star', they're crap and not good enough
like I said before as long as the deal is not done, i will be accused of being bitter. but I have talked about his strength and weakness many times here. And in few months hopefully we can look back on this thread and you will see the exact points be made in the City forum

Wishful thinking I'm afraid....

He's not a winger or out an our central midfielder...he's half winger half midfielder. he needs freedom, so the best would be to put him on the right and say you can roam over all the place

Yeah, that's my opinion aswell but i think he'll tuck/cut in to create space for Richards and interlink with Silva.

Mate other than the Daily Fail, what real evidence do you have that he is going nowhere?

The writing is on the wall:

1) Roberto saying the deal should be wrapped quickly.
2) Wenger saying he hopes he stays but we'll see (a la Cesc)

These are the men directly involved. You don't hear Arsene Wenger scolding Roberto anymore for making things up.

We can play him just like we play Silva. They can both roam around & they will be fantastic. As will all the various mixtures of our attacking players once they get used to each other. It's a squad game & we will not have an 11 that trots out game after game.

Mancini has said this clearly.

Wenger on TF1:"At the moment Nasri isn't leaving. it's political, that means he could leave one day, but it's far far far from being done."

This was said this morning by wenger
