i wouldnt exclude that cook and marwood may be incapable .

Both these guys are exceptionally capable, Cook reached the very top in the brutal world of sports merchandising and he should never be underestimated.

Cookie in my humble opinion get alot of unfair shit - yes in the past he has not covered himself in glory but i for one think he is a decent guy. He gets my support.

All this shit about Cook and Marwood and supposed tensions between them and Bert. I don't believe any of it, (hold me hands up if true). This is a classic game of poker being played between two teams where the prize is Nasri's signature for us and for Arsenal the prize is CL football and a good fee with Wenger coming out smelling of roses.

1) Suppose hitch is agents fees, Arsenal won't pay them neither will city.
2) CL football Wenger saying he might play Nasri
3) We issue warning if you do makes deal more difficult
4) No doubt (my theory) Cook and Marwood tell Bert to announce will happen and needs to happen soon. Increasing pressure maybe on Nasri's agents.

If you think of it like a game not surprising it has taken time, no one at fault if it doesn't happen everyone will slap one anothers back and say job well done if it does.

+1

Its quite often the case that deals are done and dusted days before they are announced, this may be the case here. I was at the club the other week seeing someone, whilst waiting, SSN announced that the Savic deal would be concluded that day, my contact said that it was done the day before. As we all know the media tend to be well behind on City news these days.

Understand your point, but I don't think this is the case here. He played for the Arse on saturday so it couldn't have been done then. I doubt any progress would have been made since then, due to our game yesterday. I think things will have been picked up again this morning from late friday.

Mancini also revealed he is hopeful Samir Nasri will join City in the next day or so. “I hope so,” he smiled. “We will have to see but I am hopeful we can maybe complete this deal sooner rather than later.”

usually the OS doesn't put gossip on site unless its in the what the papers say section. Deal seems likely.

The reporter also asked "after Nasri is this your busines all done", to which Mancini smiled and replied "I hope not".

Possible;although I think Bobby is genuinely frustrated. However, whilst all of city's management have the same end game in mind (world domination etc), they have different roles to play in achieving it. Bobby just wants the players he wants, Cook has to be more mindful of budgets and other considerations. Cook is a clever guy and he has proved that he learns lessons: his biggest problem was being too honest in public and now he has largely shut up. We don't know what financial targets Cook has been given and there is no evidence that Cook and Marwood are cocking up transfer dealings, plus they have Williams on the team to add extra experience on that front. Until the transfer window has played out, we shouldn't rush to conclusions and it may be well after that before we can conclude if the club's current business tactics, strategy and judgements are good ones.
