Less than no chance he signs for the rags this window. Arsenal won't sell to them and they would never pay 23 million for a player they could sign on a pre contract for nothing in January.

If he doesn't sign for us now he could well sign for the rags in January on a pre contract though.

If he wants to come to us he simply will not play for arsenal on Wednesday. He will just refuse to. If he does play he doesn't want to come fine that's his choice we move on to someone else.

I still think if this doesn't happen we have wasted a load of time and effort that could have been spent elsewhere. Would we actually be able to get in a decent alternate with so little time left mata has gone to Chelsea for example.

Fascinating stuff this transfer:

After first leg Arsenal 1 Udinese 0 (arsenal have 60% chance of going through with or without Nasri)

If transfer is £22 million and CL worth £30 million by losing in the CL QF then:

1. Nasri plays vs Udinese and Arsenal go through: £30 million x 60% = £18 Mill

2. Nasri doesn't play and Arsenal go through: £52 million x 60% = £31.2 Mill

3. Nasri plays vs Udinese and Arsenal goes out: £0 million x 40% = £0 Mill

4. Nasri doesn't play and Arsenal goes out: £22 million x 40% = £8.8 Mill


The two options whereby Nasri plays = £18 million/2 = £9 million
The two options whereby Nasri doesn't play = £40 million/2 = £20 million

So that says that Arsenal should only play Nasri if they believe they will still get in excess of £11 million from City (or another club) if Nasri is cup tied.

NB: The above might be wrong but it was fun to calculate anyway!

Clichy in this case. 2 defenders on the bench..not more. Zabba because of his versatility to play in the midfield and both full-back positions. + Savic for central defence.

Either way....it might look stupid now. But when the CL, FA cup and Carling cup and the internationals start. And injuries will be more common....it wont anymore.

If he wanted to come here he wouldn't be bothered about loyalty payments and / or he would have told his agent to sort it or piss off.

Lol if he is in their champions league squad. Maybe for the best if he is willing to play he obviously doesn't want to come. Can't imagine arsenal fans are going to be that happy especially if he ends up at the rags or us for nothing next summer !

If he's in the squad and plays we won't sign him simple as that. If they loose the game and go out anyway there are going to be some questions asked from all quarters I would imagine.
