He will be cup-tied. The whole point of the rule is so that if you get knocked out of the cup you can't then go and join a club that's still in it. Whether it's a qualifier or not it doesn't matter (it's just another word for an earlier round), if Nasri plays and gets knocked out, then he can't play in it.
Fuck off. Just fuck the fuck off. Now. Leave. Go.

Arhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Fucking fucky fuck off.

How many times? Grrrr

Edit. Seriously. What makes you think.... Actually I'll stop there. Just *too angry to even explain*

How does that work mate?
So, just to confirm, he's not cup-tied?

What are you trying to say here?

Even if he is sat on the bench and doesn't play he has been selected so would surely miss the group stages ?

In any event if he is willing to fly out and play he obviously doesn't want to come to city. That is fine but it will be disappointing we have wasted so much time and miss out on a player like mata.

don't think this is true, he has to step onto the pitch to be cup-tied, doesn't he?

-- Mon Aug 22, 2011 1:24 pm --

either way we should be working throughout the night to try and get this finalized

London evening standard reporting that they still expect the deal to go through, its nasri's dad and agent wanting more money off city

My concerns about our end aside, Gab Marcotti said on ESPN last night, that there's some serious bad blood from Arsene's Monaco days and the agents connection with Marsielle and the infamous match fixing scandal, which greatly effected Arsene's title tilt while at Monaco. That said Marcotti, reckons Nasri will be a blue before September 1st.

Some good tracking back from Voomer here.

I always admit when I get it wrong, but I still believe the crux of my point is valid, if we want the best on the pitch we should apply the same logic of it. I guess its time to switch the football manager effect off.
