I want to interject just one quick thing into this argument. Every time a person slags another for watching English football who lives outside of this country a fool is born. If this league were to exist with close doors we wouldn't be able to watch the likes of David Silva or Kun at the Etihad. FFS we wouldn't even be attending the "Etihad".

Carry on.

Which ever way you look at it wenger and arsenal have come out of this looking stupid and weak. Wenger said the deal was looking unlikely and he was playing him in cl. Mancini says fine play him and we won't sign him.

Nasri now refuses to travel and play and or wenger backs down. Makes it look like wenger is not in control of the team and the players and other clubs are calling the shots.

Macini says we want to sign him soon as don't play him in a crucial game as we want him for the champions league ourselves. The player and or wenger comply. I can't imagine arsenal fans are happy with Mancini making such important decisions for them in a make or break game ?

ah the old stand by argument it never gets old does it, however it does get dull, yes we know all our players are on a billion pounds a week, none of them want to play for the club, whereas at every other club the players play for the love of the shirt and a fiver a week and a bag of chips.

Yawn

Why do Arsenal have to face any face? They have been clear that they wanted to keep the player, he refused to sign a new contract and they decided to sell him. The fee was agreed few days ago and most reports says his agent suddenly demanded 3 million. Now if things have suddenly worked out. There's only two things that could happen. City gave the agent ultimatum to forget the 3 million or City agreed to pay the agent what he wanted. To me the latter sounds more plausible as nothing we have seen indicates he's desperate to come to City

I would suggest he is far more desperate to come to us than stay with Wenger's U21 side.

What is happening at Arsenal is criminal really. If i was an Arsenal fan being asked to pay the kind of prices you lot do i would be fucking seriously pissed off right now.
Fair enough. all Im gonna say is he's coming for the money and paying 180k to someone like Nasri is just madness. When you pay stupid money like that, the problem you gonna have is getting rid of these players later on. The likes of Bellamy, bridge, Adebayor and Santa Cruz aint going anywhere cause no one will match their current wages. jo went on loan to brazil and I doubt his team can afford paying his wages, so its more likely that its similar to bellamy loan deal. When you have this much money....you will attract all sorts of mercenaries

course he is coming for money but he is also coming to a club who he thinks is better equpped to win trophies whether you like it or not.
and get your facts right.

Doesn't look like things have 'suddenly worked out'. Just looks like he's refusing to play in the CL for Arsenal.

This would also suggest he's 'desperate to come to City' because he's making sure he doesn't jeapordise the move.
Yeah but if he's that desperate, why did he play against Liverpool? I mean he could have easily got injured and jeopardise the deal. look at Fabregas and Modric, they have refused to play not to risk any injury

match fitness?

FFS hes a football player... he wanted to play football.. so what

milner did last year aswell.
á la Tevez on Sunday.

Did you read the 180k in a paper? Our board must have told them...Or maybe it was Nasri that was bragging about his new found riches to the world? Which one is it? You tell me, Gooney.

Fella you believe what you want to believe but I can tell you a fee, terms etc were agreed well before your stated 'a few days ago' and I mean well before.

City will not bend over backwards now to agents. Previously we almost needed to to bring the players we did to the club, at that time we hadn't qualified for CL football, we hadnt won the FA Cup and really the only that players came for was the money (generally speaking). Now however we are a totally different proposition so we will NOT have suddently agreed to pay the agent whatever he wanted.

I don't get why Arsenal would play him if he wanted to leave and knew he was signing for us. He could just 'accidently' give the ball away in a bad position and hey presto Arsenal are out and he can then play for us and one of the stronger teams are out too.
