Nasri or Silva

I wouldn't be totally surprised if nasri is told he's surplus to requirements. And I wouldn't be bothered if he was.

Silva is our most important player.

Silva will benefit markedly from our wider formation with Navas stretching play, last season it was often getting too congested for him not just because of the opposition but because our own players were too narrow.

Nasri had better improve a lot or else he'll be gone.

this.
read today that jovetic likes to wear no. 8. i'd be more than happy for us to get rid of nasri so he can have it.

All superstitious nonsense. Can Jovetic feel the eight burning into his back, has he got eyes in the back of his head, or is eight the number of goals he's gonna score v MANUre. Only on the last count would I let him have it.

I think Silva will always be central to the way MCFC play. I also think that Pellegrini will give Samir until January to prove he is a PL and CL heavyweight. If he doesn't deliver, then I can see him being shipped.

Nasri is a very talented player but Silva is a class above.
Agree with this.

I don't agree. At their best they are both fantastic players. Silva is at his best more often than Nasri though, that's for sure. I just wish Silva wasn't such a frightened rabbit in headlights in front of goal though. Nasri on the other hand at least knows where the net is.

Depends where Nasri is deployed. Silva is influential whether he plays from out wide or in the middle, so I don't doubt he will do well no matter what. If Nasri is played centrally, like he has been in the first two pre season games, I think he will have a top season. Out wide he goes missing, in the middle he is in the thick of it and pulling the strings. Nasri as a central player is something completely new and something we haven't utilised yet, and I hope he gets enough game time.

Well its a no-brainer for me silva everytime, nasri's a good player but silva is different class, only small fault with silva is if he could score a bit more...

Probably should look at statistics before saying stuff like that.
Their scoring records are very similar, with Silva actually shading it out of the two.

Edit: Silva for me, he picks out passes Nasri could only dream of seeing imo.

That's not because Silva is a better finisher, it's because he's ten times the threat Nasri is and gets into goalscoring positions more.

If Silva added finishing to his game he'd be up there with Messi and Ronaldo.

Assuming no injuries, Silva will just shave it but Nasri will have a heck of a season. Both will be in the form of their live in my opinion.

This.

Nasri and Silva will benefit from the way in which Pelligrini wants to play. Also having genuine wide options next year will stop teams play two narrow banks of four and killing the space both like to play in.

I'm expecting Nasri to play a more central role this season, and I'm expecting him to prove a few people wrong. A top, top player imo.
