I like Nasri and hope he stays; unfortunately, Nasri has never been motivated to play up to his enormous potential.

But one thing's for sure... if he does stay, he will absolutely not be walking around the pitch. Pep has an extremely short leash - you've got basically one chance. Screw it up and you're gone.

I meant Toure mate, although judging by Ric's post above I reckon I spoke too soon!

It's a shame if true, as I thought he'd be one of the players who could thrive under Guardiola. Returning to training overweight was unacceptable though, particularly after his comments towards the end of last season about how keen he was to play for Guardiola.

I remember reading somewhere that Pep said he could tell very early on which players in the dressing room are on board with you, and which aren't. Looks like Nasri falls into the latter category.

Must admit, I'm disappointed. He's one of our best midfielders & a much needed senior player. We effectively start the season with no new signings until Gungy & Sane are fit - & whilst he's a terrific signing, Sane is v young. Won't be long before he gets the Sterling treatment. In that note- was VERY disappointed to hear that jerk from Blossoms publicly slagging off Sterling on Soccer AM. Great City fan!!!!

Nasri's attitude has not been good for some time. Great skill though.

Selling him is not a surprise for me, if someone will buy him.

I like him and hope he can stay but I back Pep 100%.

It's been obvious for years that this talented group has some mentality problems so let Pep sort it out by getting rid of whoever he wants.

Also wouldn't PSG be interested? He's French and they haven't made any singings that I know of yet

Not heard much to be honest mate. I know the club were keen to sell him but that's looking increasingly unlikely now. I presume the fact that he's travelled to Gothernburg suggests he's at an acceptable weight for Guardiola. Not sure how much game time he'll get this season though. I thought it was pretty telling when him and Bony were substituted against Dortmund, having come on as subs themselves. Felt like Guardiola was sending out a message.

Yup. We either play a particular way, which a 14 stone 33 year old isn't suited to, or we don't. If Ya Ya does get much game time (and I don't think he will) then he's gonna need to bust a gut or he'll find himself out permanently. If watching the dippers tear Barcelona apart yesterday told us anything it's that we can't afford a single passenger this season

I'm not surprised one iota and sensed he'd be a victim under the Pep reign.

Although he's good at retaining the ball you need a lot more than that, there's a reason why he's not been part of the national team for a few years as others have found out his attitude and lacks discipline when things don't go his way, we saw it in full flow against Barca away the season before last.

He started 4 league games last season. 18 the season before. And he's never managed more than 30 league starts for us. He plays in a position where we're now overstocked and he takes up an overseas slot. With his talent, he should have been an automatic starter for us for the whole time he was here, but he has never done it consistently. Not surprising in the slightest.

Everton were linked with mata so maybe they would take nasri?
Wages could be an issue but mata must also be on a fair whack.
Bony + nasri + 10m for stones?
