This kids an absolute gem n he has all the attributes to be one of the best centre halves in the world, it's an added bonus that he is well grounded and not gonna turn into a flash harry unlike some kids in the prem nowadays. He doesnt strike me as the type to believe his own hype and gonna demand a silly wage either. I hope he stays with city for a long time cos he is definite captain material .

Matija is fantastic, whenever he has the ball I feel as cool as he always looks. Gotta love how he takes the time to look forward for options, instead of just keep passing it back and forth with the three other players at the back. He always gets praise on the telly where I live, which is a nice change from all that money talk.

Really hope he can spend his career here. May be overthinking things a bit but I can imagine Barca wanting him in a year or two. He would fit into their team perfectly.

No two ways about it, he will be on Barcelonas radar. Perfect replacement for Pique. I fully expect the usual public tappings up in 2-3 seasons time. Only way that won't happen is if they conjure up someone of similar quality from their academy, which given the players they've had play for them at centre back over the past few years would lead me to believe producing good ones isn't something their academy does as well as attacking midfielders.
