Hardly a link , many managers would like to buy all our players not that it is happening , but still more info than the first post so ta
January move to Newcastle, and his former manager,on the cards?
Makes sense all round.
We have three superb centre halves, others that can do a good job,and plenty of kids that are kicking the door down.....Newcastle will pay very good money for a player that deserves more playing time.I see zero sense in it. Other than for Newcastle maybe.
No reason Ake should want to go. No reason we would want to let him. In January at least.

It would certainly make sense for all involved. I imagine Ake thought he'd get more of a chance but he just isn't good enough for this level I think.
I'd be interested to see how he could do there. He's the kind of player who'd make a big difference to that defence.
Time to give TBH his chance and I think he’s ready. Like you say use the money elsewhereHe is an expensive sub.
If we can move him on and recoup 30m then replace him with a free transfer or THB, that gives us a bit more to play with when getting a striker and midfielder.
THB is on loan to Anderlecht for the season. If we sell Ake in January who do we have as cover? He is an expensive sub.

Hes not back till next summer. Cant see us running with 3 CB's again, that was the reason we grabbed Ake in the first place.Time to give TBH his chance and I think he’s ready. Like you say use the money elsewhere
Shame if there is no way back in JanHes not back till next summer. Cant see us running with 3 CB's again, that was the reason we grabbed Ake in the first place.

Pull him back from playing week in, week out to sit him on the bench for 6 months, seems pointless.Shame if there is no way back in Jan
Pretty much sums up my assessment as well FI ;-)We have three superb centre halves, others that can do a good job,and plenty of kids that are kicking the door down.....Newcastle will pay very good money for a player that deserves more playing time.
