How exactly are the club planning on making space for this if we are in for Koulibaly as well? Otamendi has a year left and is on wages no one else would dream of paying. Stones has years left and is on wages no one else would dream of paying. Those players aren't going to take a pay cut at another club out of the goodness of their hearts. And Ake and Koulibaly won't be on cheap wages either.
If absolutely nobody wants to buy them, they’ll be loaned out. By hook or by crook, they won’t be here. I think Otamendi will be harder to sell. He’ll be going abroad and they generally have less money than premier league clubs, which is where Stones will be going. So my prediction, Stones to Arsenal for about £20m-30m and Otamendi loaned to somewhere in Spain. Kind of like Mangala.

Stones to Leeds?

Otamendi either to Napoli, or more likely Valencia, and Stones to Arsenal, IMO.

Yep, I edited my post to say Stones to Arsenal and Otamendi on a Mangala-style loan. Mangala went to Valencia, Otamendi’s played there before. Seems likely. They won’t have the cash to buy him. The Torres money won’t go on players, so he’ll be loaned I reckon. Otamendi would be happier with that too as he’ll have an extra year on his City wages and can then get a huge signing fee when he’s a free agent.

Agreed. While the deals might not happen concurrently, I reckon there will be discussions between the respective clubs. Could also see Zinchenko heading to one of these destinations.

Overall it looks like a very decent deal.

Lots of rave reviews from Bournemouth fans and when I've seen him I've been fairly impressed.

I don't think his height will be a big issue and he actually attacks his headers pretty well.

He's also quick - which is a major attribute we're lacking at the back.

I quite like the lad, never seen him have a bad game...but I haven’t watched them too much.

squad player who improves the ‘pool’ might even force a regular game.

if we can ship one or two out, it’s a no brainer.

hopefully clears the way for a marquee CB signing...
