Why do people have such a hard on for Stones? No way he's better than Ake. Is it just because he's English?

Think this would be a very good signing, and I’m incredibly critical of our defensive transfer business during the Pellegrini and Pep eras. At £35m, I’d say it’s a risk worth taking. Especially when you consider his versatility. He has bags of potential and would be an upgrade on Stones for me. But we still need to bring in a solid defender with some experience.
I just hope the club are not thinking that this is job done at left-back. We certainly need to bring in a competent player there to compete with Mendy.

Ha I genuinely think it is this. Good looking chap, English, seems like one of the lads. I think lots like to imagine subconsciously that they were all a bit like 'Stonesy'.
