I just don’t see him improving us and we don’t have time to develop him. We need players ready to go if we truly want champions league. Which is no 1 target next season for pep. That’s my point. He’s a good player but when I see his name playing against us it doesn’t make me worry.

No idea whether interest is real; as to the debate of whether he or anyone else is good enough, I am inclined to trust the view of Pep, Txiki and the scouting team etc: they are not infalible but they have managed to assemble the best squad in the history of English football.
