Nathan Ake

This bit is wrong. one plays on the left side, the other, on the right. in Peps system, and the requirements he has, they may as well be entirely different positions. He hates being forced into playing a right footer on the left when Laporte is unavailable, now we will hopefully finally have a right 2/2 balance he won’t be playing a left footer on the right unless absolutely necessary or we see a back 3.

Aké is a great signing, but I believe Pep would’ve gone for left footed Pau Torres if not considering the homegrown quota. Now he is upgrading his backline while also keeping that quota and can sell Stones at the same time. He takes care of many issues with this signing.

So many rumours circling around Koulibaly and I think several of them have legs. It looks like Pep decided to fix this position once and for all. I’d be extremely surprised if Stones was still around after this window.

Don't get me wrong, I hope he stays and wins everyone over but if he's going to leave permanently or just for the season then I just hope it's to a decent team with a decent coach and not some dead end move. I do wonder what Bielsa could do with him.
They’ll be losing Ben White back to Brighton so it’s a possibility. Agree with the point about PL experience though, Leeds are being linked with Delph and Rose today

I see your point but he’s had one good season out of four. That’s just not acceptable. His mistakes also reappear every season, it’s like he never learn from them. It seems he has some mental or personal issues but in all honesty, that’s not the clubs responsibility.

Pep would never have signed Aké if he believed in Stones. I expect him to leave this window. He’s had more than enough time to get his personal affairs in order.

Stones and Ake play on differnt sides of centre half so the two are not a related issue

I do think (like you) Pep may have lost soe faith in Stones (and you couldnt blame him)

I do think however that if we could get Stones sorted however (and I also conceed thats a big IF) then he is the better centre half out of him and Garcia. Garcia may also not want to be here so selling him would be easier and make more sense as we could get decent money for Garcia if we sell him now _ but there is a danger with Garcia that he could do a Sane and try and run his contract down - for me if there is any hnt of a delay on signing a new contact Id get rid of him asap

players have to leave to make room and that won't happen till we are out of the cl in case we need them,A ke is on holiday and Torres is having his medical in spain

we could get them signed and work them in at the eithad campus in the next 3 weeks, the players that are going already know and been told so i don't really understand the wait, just take the sane deal to munich get him in early work with the team learn the system

there is going to be little to no pre-season or time for a rest, city to try and get a jump on the rest and hit the ground running next season or we could be 6 or 9 points behind and chasing again, also heard that champions league teams that play in the mini tournament have to have a brake for 3 weeks by uefa laws, so city new season could be 2 weeks behind the rest and with the new premier league setup, it could be 3 to 5 games in a very tight period, and with 3 games a week city would have to make up time some how ?

so if i was manager i would get all the new signing in right now and build some sort of bonding camp and also give let them train with the champions league squads because that would help both parties

£41m. So, only half as good as Maguire. Not fucking good enough really. Why can't we sign decent players......
