Peoples say you cant go to a season with any less than 4 CB. But what, real got Alba nacho militao and the won ucl, liga, liv got 3 as well, vandijk, matip konate (considering gomez as mainly RB), the 4th place should be given to an academy talent to flourish.

If Ake leaves we should go for Lacroix a good player that has had a bad second half of the season, he is quick which non of our other CB are, as for our youth, they are already at the best place for them (Harwood-Bellis to Burnley hopefully) to get what they need, again which is game time.

Not sure there are any home grown cbs that would accept the role Nathan got rn. Also doubt Newcaslte would pay 50m.

I think he stays. He saw this season how fragile our other cbs can be, he just gotta keep pouncing

I know but not for the Champions League rules he aint we already over that limit, and we're are under 17 NON-HG for the prem rules already with the squad being so small. We have space to buy either HG status player as a replacement for him

We shouldn’t be selling him, not with Stones’s injury record and Laporte prone to brain farts. We were already reduced to having to play Fern at centre back again at the end of the season, luckily we just about got away with it.

The amount of games we play we need four top centre backs. No square pegs in round holes, weird formations or inexperienced youngsters. I bet the scouse pricks get no injuries yet again and only lose a maximum of three games. We cannot afford to have such a small squad.

Not for me with the way Stones & Laporte have been with injuries the last few years, even Dias is coming back from months out, if we left it to Mbete/Egan Riley/THB they'd probably end up playing 30 matches the way it's going! Lol

I'd agree if we only had 1 injury prone defender, but there's slight question marks on all of em, even Ake has had his troubles
