I'm not going to argue if we get a fair price but I do wonder why these deals are taking this long, when City have been more than reasonable with their valuations.
Sterling would be a bargain for £45m+ up to £10m addons, that should be out of the way by now, since I thought they had agreed terms with the player already.
What City want for Ake seems to have changed from £50m(which is very reasonable) to between £40-45m(it better be £41m+ which is break even for what we paid a relegated club, which would be seen as a favour to the player for me). Yet there are reports that the two clubs are "some way apart in their valuations". I seriously hope they don't think City should take a net loss on a player that has plenty of years left on his contract, who has improved since arriving at the club and City would be more than happy to keep. Hopefully that's just more of the typical press transfer BS.
