I thought populism politics were given the boot now Johnson is out of the way, brexit has been shown up to be the con it was and the ERG had been sidelined to making shows on GB News.

The scary thing the divide and conquer tactics used by the Conservatives since 2010 has led to poverty increasing across the U.K. They can now use people’s desperation in life to them blame their situation on the leftys, woke, boat people, foreigners, trans, gay etc. unfortunately this will resonate with parts of the electorate when other parts are now waking up to realising what a shit show the Conservatives have put on during their time in power.

It’s shows how bad the Tory’s are when a cabinet minister in the Home Secretary is standing up and speaking at one of these events. All in all it’s a desperate play as they know they are toast in 2024.

I've been watching these things unfold over the last week or so. It's chilling, surely these people have picked up a history book at some point in their lives and understand the path to totalitarianism?

They seem to have created a really strong "us and them" polarisation where anyone who doesn't agree with them is a radical lefty lunatic. I've got a pretty good idea who the actual lunatics are.
