The Southgate rule is for every half decent player with flair like grealish or foden, you have to play a pub team player like mount or dier alongside them
Wouldn’t want to take the handbrake off and have a go would we
 
Oh and in case you missed it, a recent Football Weekly pod was going on about how Southgate won't play Grealish...and one commentor decided to take aim at Southgate's so-called love of Foden as part of the problem.

Did anyone else hear that?

he got to a semi final and regularly qualifies, which is good. What more should we be doing? As we aren’t going to win a tournament

Yes to both.
We lost to every decent side we faced that wasn’t ranked lower and played terribly

That reads like what I've seen on here about Pep, Gundogan, and Foden funnily enough.
 
Grealish has had a great game, the first England player to keep the ball and run at defences we've had in ages.
