NBC want two English games to be played in USA

Never happening. Clubs would do it without a second thought but the super league backlash from fans would be magnified by 100 if they tried to do this.

With so many American owners in our game now I'm sure they'll be constantly looking to test the waters with seemingly insignificant things that they'll slowly push more and more until they feel they can get away with something, it's up to the fanbase to give no leeway. Things like giving them the charity shield may seem insignificant and fine in isolation, It's a friendly i couldn't give a fuck about but you can't give them an inch.

I live in a city with a MLS team, but it’s still a 90 min+ miserable drive from my house to sit in a half empty stadium. I support/attend other local sports, but for football, it’s hard for anything local to compare with City.

try a 4 hour drive every home game when we had Stuart Pearce (And much further for all away games). It may be easy watching City now as we are the best, doesn’t mean they always will be though

At the moment it’s illegal under FIFA anyway, there’s a court case going on about it now, so until that’s resolved permanently we can all just ignore this rage bait.

US Soccer has also forbidden foreign league games to be played in the USA, so even if FIFA have to change their stance because of that case, US Soccer has to change their mind as well.

US soccer has followed FIFAs lead on this. If FIFA folds they will too. US soccer and the MLS are separate entities. Not always in agreement.

in some us sports they are classed as world champions when they win their league

That’s because they’re the only country that plays it, I.e. NFL.
