De Jong going to Barca , can make Lyon ask even more for him
If FFP is the reason why we didn't sign De Jong, we have little hope for signing Ndombele. Aulas will be demanding just as much for him.
Will be really interesting to see what move we ultimately make.
considering De Jong has something like 40 league appearances and got that fee, this lads price has skyrocketed.

I don't see why ffp is a problem, we've pretty much broke even on transfers this financial year.
Think we will spend quite big in the summer, with 2 or 3 of the squad moving on as well.

Neves is not for us as a Fernandinho replacement. Ndombele might be for us if the price is right. It's got nowt to do with FFP. De Jong wanted Barca. He goes to Barca. Even if we think we are a big draw these days I think we are still not in the Spanish giants league.

Why not doing the same like Barcelona and sign the player now for the summer . What do we have to loss? Why waiting for other teams to get involved? I can see PSG, Juve, Man utd maybe even Real Madrid go for this kid.

Thus raising the price and City don't do bidding wars and paying huge sums.
If so, think we'll be moving on to other targets.
Fortunately it seems like they're going to buy Allan from Napoli for €100m instead, and are also negotiating for Leandro Paredes for about half that.
If the Allan deal goes through they won't be in for Ndombele, but it might set the market price for a defensive midfielder very high.

They haven’t had the accounts done for the Neymar and mbappe deals yet though have they? That will be this years? No way they pass that

You may well be right, I don’t know, seem to remember it being said last summer they had to bring in €80 mill to cover those deals, don’t know if they managed it or not, cant remember any sales. Its every 3 years the ffp accounts have to be up to date so think thats next year.

PSG have a great mixture of academy kids and bargains mixed in with their big stars. People like Kimpembe, Rabiot, Areola, Diaby & Nkunku all take up big squad roles and yet came from their academy which will be saving them an absolute ton on fees and wages compared to people like Mahrez/Gundogan/Danilo/Bravo for us.
Then there's the cheap players they have - Verratti was only 12m, Choupo-Moting free, Meunier 5m, Bernat 12m.
It's a very different model of team, their marquee players cost much more than anyone we've ever bought, but they back them up with a lot of cheap or academy players because they just don't need a deep squad like we do with Ligue 1 being the level it is.
