Nearly 5 years on - how do you feel about the new badge?

I love the badge, it is much better than that awful meaningless eagle one we had. It has the history of Manchester on it, with the red rose of Lancashire (the only red I’ll wear), and the ship representing the ship canal, and the city’s history as a port. It is a hark back to the badge we had in the glory days of the sixties and early seventies. The only thing missing for me are the letters F.C. for football club.

Blackpool and Blackburn are definitely in Lancashire. Manchester isn’t

By political boundaries none of them are, by historic and natural boundaries they all are.

Regions were supposed to scrapped by the Government in 2010, but Manchester is still in the north west too, it never moved in 1974 or in 2010.
 
The badge we have is fine for me I’d like us to incorporate the Manchester coat of arms more though maybe in cup finals ... think we did it in 81 ? What really grates on me is the rags hijacking

Every time they wear them glazers sorry blazers it effin winds me up no end. Might be trivial but I see this as stolen identity.
 
better than the eagle badge, but could be improved. the 18 + 94 split into two looks naff imo.

a mock up badge similar to the NYCFC badge was posted on here by the (at the time) resident photoshop expert. I’ve forgot his name but think it was something like 100% manc. it was a lot better designed.

in the end we got a fudged version when the polled result (stripes) didn’t match what khaldoon wanted (the rose).

I have never understood why a team NOT from Manchester are allowed to wear our coat of arms badge. It must be a real kick in the teeth to Trafford, their biggest team which ignores their coat of arms for another Citys coat of arms. Do Oldham, Bolton etc wear the Manchester coat of arms ?
Its time The City of Manchester Council stopped them.

Eagle design was terrible.
This one is much better, but does look like it has been designed by committee. There are too many lines and outlines on it. Did it really need seven different circles? Why is the shield outlined twice? It's all too fussy. As such, I think it is already starting to look slightly dated.
Rose is good but bees would have been jumping on the bandwagon - and agree with comments that it actually reflects a time of exploitation of workers.

Blackpool and Blackburn are 100% in the county of Lancashire. Manchester is in the county of Greater Manchester.
