Good enough to be in our squad, anyone who says otherwise is clueless.

As long as he apologises to Bobby and is willing to work hard, then that's good enough for me.

The manager (and therefore a few dozen others on here) may be too arrogant for their own good though.

If you think there is a maneger in professional football who would accept the slagging Mancini took of Ned, then you are the one being clueless.

Ned has burned his brigdes with Mancini.
Apart from saying he didn't think Mancini liked hi, there was no "slagging off", it was all over dramatized.

But there are too many people who make attempts to rationalise Mancini's decisions instead of analyse them ie Jo over Bellamy, Boyata over Lescott against Arsenal etc.

Not true.

Off the top of my head, he criticised ''the way Lescott was handled'' (("I feel for Joleon Lescott to be honest," he said. "I think the way that he was handled towards the end of the season in terms of injury by sort of management and stuff has almost cost him a place.

"I think it was the week or two weeks before the season ended the manager came out and said he's going to be unavailable for the final two games and that wasn't the case because at the time I think he was coming back into training."

"I was surprised in the final week of the season how he wasn't involved," he added. "I think with someone like, for example, Harry Redknapp throughout the season he's pushing all his players to try and get into the England squad. )) which supposedly cost him a place in the England squad for the World Cup. Our £24 m player who had been injured most of the season and was just recovering should have been chucked right into international duty when he'd hardly given us our money's worth.

Criticising Mancini when he said Ireland needed to change his head (''i was quite surprised when i heard that, Ireland works hardest in training, maybe he means his head is too small''), obviously knows better than a manager who's won titles throughout his career. That might have been his opinion but as smart as he's supposed to be he should've known better than make such comments on such a platform.

Regardless of whether he came through the academy or not, the manager obviously doesn't think he's good enough else he'd still be here. Other players may have made worse comments but they are still here because Mancini rates them. Besides, he was injured a lot of the time anyway.

Bellamy not good enought either?

But Jo is?

According to the manager? Yes!

Ciao Bob

I would suggest you go back and watch that interview again, no player in the history of football has ever gotten away with anything close to that.

Bellamys departure was not just about Mancini he had fallen out with Cook Marwood and Mancini, so suggesting that Bellamy was shipped out because of Mancini is not really fair.

Oh and no matter how many times people pretend that Jo was picked over Bellamy does not make it true, Bellamy was shipped out because he fell out with everybody at City.

Clever lad? Seemingly not. Shouldn't have ran his mouth off and disrespected our manager last year...cash in on him I say £6Million is more than a fair price I reckon.

Always liked Ned seems smart as fuck but dropped a huge bollock on soccer AM, I would love to see him realise all his potential at City and I only want the best for City as a team. If bobby sees him as part of it then great stuff if not then I wish him all the best.

Onuoha, stay or go?

I'm genuinely torn on whether we should keep Ned at City or not, the 'fors' and 'against' I see are:

Fors:
City fan
Homegrown / academy player
Had a good season at Sunderland
Is very fast
Can play CB / RB
On par with Cahill?
Could develop further
Ideal cover if Boateng goes

Against:
Could make 6m easily
Got a bit mouthy in an interview about Mancini
Is he good enough for a back up defender
Would he be good enough if asked to play in the CL
Does he offer anything that Richards and Boyatta don't already
Is his passing good and technique good enough to play our system

So what do you think, I'm genuinely unsure

Re: Onuoha, stay or go?

I think we should keep him unless someone offers more than 6M for him but he should be told that he is back up to Micah and Zabs
He should want to stay because after all he is a fan

Re: Onuoha, stay or go?

Get shut of him ......

i'm of the opinion he's only back because he's got to be , and it's easy to be complimentary to your employers then , which clearly hasn't been the case with him when he was up at Sunderland ...... i just can't see the rumour of them offerin' as much as £6m for him to have much foundation , maybe half that amount would be closer to the truth.

i think we have enough cover with Zabaleta , Richards and Boyata to let him go ......

on the plus side for him , i note that he made 31 appearances for Sunderland ... so at long last he must be learning that staying fit pays off!

Re: Onuoha, stay or go?

IF he is happy a squad player then yes but if he wants to go and the right offer comes in then I think mancini will let him go
