Nedum Onouha

Re: Onuoha, stay or go?

I don't have any negative feelings towards him whatsoever even with his outbursts. My main concern is the same as Michael Johnson, whilst I feel great affection for them both as they've come through the ranks and have shone in the past I think we've moved on beyond these 2 and should sell for the right money.

We're no longer a midtable outfit so my question would be, could you see either of these players getting in Arsenal, Chelsea or the scums sides?

And you had to start your very own thread on Nedum because...?

I really hope Nedum does stay and wins his place as and here is where I get controversial I simply don't think Micah Richards is as good as him.

Micah burst on to the scene a great raw talent granted but then began to believe his own hype and his formed dipped, granted this season he has returned to the sort of level he was at. But for me hasn't progressed his positional sense is AWOL he relies far to much on his pace when he makes a mistake.

Nedum is much cooler under pressure he seems to understand the position of right back far better. If he can stay healthy I'll be happy if he starts in place of Micah. Just a personal opinion granted but who knows unless we actually see it! And remember it was Nedum getting injured that gave Micah his big break.

P.s it wasn't even on the front page when I created this, well not to my knowledge.

I think Richards showed a lot more footballing intelligence this season gone. I wouldn't say he stands out as lacking positional sense anymore - the issues with what was lacking in his game are largely resolved for me - provided he keeps it up of course. Onouha was nicknamed 'Nervous Ned' at one point by a lot on here, being cool under pressure wasn't something he was known for. Granted I haven't watched him at Sunderland much to know if that's changed.

Good enough to be in our squad but will always be last resort.

Kompany, Lescott, Kolo, Boateng and Boyata ahead of him at centre half.
Richards, Zabaleta. Boateng and Boyata ahead of him at right back.

He needs to go for his sake, he shouldn't have been so stupid and arrogant on Soccer AM, look at Lescott, pissed off but got on with it and always believed that there may be a chance, he got his rewards for being professional.

"young" Nedum is 25 this year. Another of the overhyped players who've come from the academy and he's never fit. I wish him well but he's found his level at a mid level club, would have been a mainstay and future captain pre takeover.

He's better than Kolo, Boateng and Boyata.
