Negredo

He has had a good season but league form is very poor which is the point I'm making and that's what needs to inprove
 
Talked some Spanish friends today, they had an interesting say about Negredo, that they dont think he has much of a chance for Spain anymore, as Diego Costa is already a Spain player (he is Brazilian), and while NEgredo had a great chance to be the striker of Spain ahead of Torres, he hardly has a chance to start games at the WC instead of D. Costa, and no surprise especially given D. Costa form, while Negredo's form only was great until December or January, since that he really couldnt score sometimes to open net. While D. Costa is just raping La Liga wit Atletico.
Could be a mental thing for Negredo as well, as D. Costa just changed nationality, or decided he plays for Spain instead of Brazil around February or March this year.

Searched their friendly back in March vs Italy, D. Costa played 90 minutes (debut), Negredo stayed on bench.

After a good start at City he had every chance to start, but since that D. Costa became a rival for him and his form at the same time went awful.
Also his injury played a part in it.

The Italy game, he was always penned in for 90 mins as it was his first start, Madrid wern't very happy.
 
The next few games are rather important for Negredo, as I feel he has to get his form back now before the season closes. Second-season syndrome is quite common in England, with strikers no longer the surprise package they were when they arrived, so I'd like to seem him play with Aguero and, hopefully, some chances will fall his way and be taken.

Maybe he's had his 2nd season syndrome half a season early ?

He's quality and if he can get himself right this summer then he'll be a big player for us next year
 
Not good enough, had the half season of his life, he's injured, he's not injured, he misses Aguero, he's not good enough to play the lone striker role, he's not good enough to play with Dzeko, he's mentally weak, SIGN CAVANI!!!!!!!!

I agree and he is quite old also. We need world class strikers not average midtable strikers.
 
What the fuck has happened to him?

Why is Pellegrini playing him when clearly at the moment he wouldn't score if he was playing for a Div 2 side.

He was fucking gash tonight as he has been for months.

No I don't know it for a fact but he has not got back to full fitness since that game/ not had a full run of games.

Can't remember off the top of my head who it was against but a few weeks back he was still holding his shoulder in one of the games.

He doesn't become a bad player overnight and still showed class for the first goal tonight.

Its a bad result tonight, but it doesn't constitute a thread on every player being shit suddenly.
