Neil Young Red & Black scarves now available on 6th Jan

The young black woman presumed I had already made a donation (as I had given the vouchers yesterday)

Lesson learnt city: Have the scarves sent down to the stadium and distributed outside (on display of match ticket)
and if the ticket is £20 sell them for £25 with the £5 going to the appeal.

I said the same in conversation last night as you just knew there would be some tight arses who would contribute the minimum amount they could think of or just sweet f.a.

But at least with the majority of us we know that our conscience is clear!

Unfortunately i cannot get to the game on sunday but would have loved to have got a scarf and would make a good contribution, so why dont the club make more for the fans who can't get to the game and do a tribute at one of the home games.

If I remember correctly someone said that this might be an option later on. The scarves for this weekend though were, again if I remember correctly, for the fans who were going to Leicester to make their tribute to Neil Young. The coincidence of our first FA Cup match this season being against Leicester couldn't really be overlooked I think.

If I am not right on this I am sure that someone will correct me and I apologise to the people who got the tribute up and running.

I'm sure you aright mate. I remember reading the same. Don't know if it was a direct quote from the club or someone on here who had been in touch with them. But they did say making more scarves available would be an option.

Considering the brief amount of time the club have had to do this and over the Xmas period I think it's fantastic what they have done.

yhp, the 3,000 is what they could get made in time for the game, and they were looking at stocking them but they hadn't made any commitment to it, they were looking at fan response.

I'll get in touch again next week and ask, and you know, should Neil sadly pass then it would be good if we made the following home game and red and black occassion, but let's not get ahead ourselves and let's hope he can make a recovery somehow.

Its horrible to say it but the street traders at the ground will see this as a money making opportunity and i am pretty sure they will have them for sale soon enough, which will take any money away from the real reason this has been done.
