Was such a shame that Virgil the worlds best defender missed his pen.The Argies were no worse than the Dutch.Proper football shithousery.They are not a great side but they keep finding a way.They look like they are prepared to tough it out when the going gets tough.Hope they win it for Zabba,Sergio,Carlos,Julien,Nicolas and Martin.

Yep, I don't mind a bit of shithousery, but if you lose afterwards, you've got to be able to take it back. Don't spend the entire shootout winding up their players and getting in their faces, and then start crying when the celebrate in front of you.

I found it hilarious how the BBC went from wanking over Brazil's thrashing of South Korea to then deciding it was only South Korea and Croatia were a much harder test...despite giving them no chance.

Croatia are absolute fighters. They just keep plugging away despite always being behind and always going to extra time and pens! Madness.

Brazil could have done with some friendlies against European teams to get their measure. Qualifying made them, and Argentina look impressive, but one Croatia were through the press that was it. And Argentina, well...they're fucking awful! But in Messi and that shithouse spirit they'll keep going. Croatia v Argentina could be hard on the eye!

Croatia would be on their way home if it wasn’t for the multiple “goals” the keeper saved!

Brazil made plenty of 80% chances, but just couldn’t get one to go in!

Make no mistake, I’m ecstatic Brazil is out (even though my son’s Brazilian gf is devastated!), but the chances were not even close and even the goal was a slutchy deflection!

Amazing, isn’t it, that in a game with 18 yellows, running at someone and body checking them is NOTHING, as is blasting g the ball at the opposition bench from about 8 yards away!!

The lad realized what he’d done pretty sharpish, because he couldn’t turn and walk away quick enough!!

Lahoz(sp?) is a shut ref and he proved it to the world tonight! Being Spanish, and them being out, made him a decent shout for the Final. Not any more!!

Oliver had a very good game and, if England are not in the Final, he stands a good chance of hitting the pinnacle! Wonder if he’ll get a tattoo?! ;-)

In previous tournaments all officials from the four semi finalists countries were sent home after the quarters, so he’ll probably be sat watching in his French shirt tonight.
