Never meet your heroes.....

In the late 90s after a Saturday night in Royales (where Nicky Weaver was always at the back bar) we went to an American diner on Deansgate. In the diner Kit Symons and Nicky Summerbee were eating at a table they let me and my 2 mates join them they were very friendly and we had good chat about footy.

Met Tommy Booth after a High Flying Birds concert in Blu Bar in Town. Sat had a few beers with me and my mates talking about the blues past and present,he was brilliant.

Lucky twat

I was sat at the bar in a country pub near Kidderminster in 1978 minding my own business when Led Zeppelin's late great John Bonham came in and sat right next to me and ordered a pint.

As a massive Zeppelin fan, I froze, but plucked up the courage to say "Hello John"

He said "Fuck off", downed it in one and left.

What a guy......:-)
