Never meet your heroes.....

My dad says he witnessed then England captain Billy Wright tell an autograph hunter to fuck off in the city centre weekend of a Wolves - City game.

Won a training ground tour when Stuart Pearce was manager. The players were all pretty nice, particularly Micah (although it was around a week after THAT goal vs Villa) and Bradley Wright-Phillips... But Stuart Pearce was an absolute miserable prick.

Had a piss next to Michael Johnson in 42s - he was in there regularly but seemed OK.

Was in Brazil, had my city shirt on and saw Gabriel Jesus, his mates all pointed me out giving him a thumbs up. Stared right through me and looked away. That was a bit disappointing.

When Frank Lampard joined Derby I drove him to his hotel after signing. The best I've met and an absolute gentleman. Loved his time at city and told a couple of good stories.

How do we know what age PF is? He may be ancient, for all we know. I won't see *redacted* again, and I never saw Billy play.
Good point, well made. I suppose it comes from the comment that his dad saw the incident, and your challenging of it. As you know, I am now 70, and didn't start watching City until 1959, the same year he retired. I don't remember seeing him play live either. So, on balance, @PinkFinal may well be a young 'un.
Perhaps he could put us out of our collective misery and let us know. ;-)
