New Beatles song released

Some things are best left where they belong.
They were very much of the time, wrote some good tunes but were massively overhyped, and remain so today.
Even McCartney said they were just a decent beat combo, and he was right.
Most of there stuff was either generic pop, or drug fuelled nonsense.
Add the scouse elevate and worship factor, and there you have it.
The original boy band, who had a bit of talent, but are no where near as good as people often suggest.
Right time, right place.
The matching suits, haircuts, etc, didn't happen by accident.
I find most of their well known material generic, populist jang a lang shite. They probably invented it.
They knew what they were doing, and I don't fault them for that.
I don't get the adulation, never have, never will.
How many bands did the beatles actually influence directly? Not many thankfully.
Having said that, each to there own, but not for me
Wooosh.

Still, they were fab

I think you’ve made about 18 different points there……and pretty much all of them bollocks. No offence!

None taken mate.
It's all about opinions, and mine is as valid as yours.
I respect them, but they never, apart from one or two tunes, did it for me, and I never got the hype.
Having said that, my mum loves them, so I put them on in the car whenever I take her anywhere.
Annoyingly, I know most of the lyrics and happily sing along.
Scouse twats ;-)

Oasis?

Are the 'hugely influential' claims not more on pop culture rather than music itself.
Oasis were as far apart from the beatles as is musically possible. I've never understood the comparison there.
Sure, noel nicked a few progressions etc, but he also plagiarised from a lot of other artists as well.
That's a short list of bands influenced by them.
You're right about the pop culture though.

Not sure I've come across a post containing as much fuckwittery on here ever and the competition is strong.
