Past boo boys

Richard Edghill
Shaun Goater (went on to be a fans favourite)
Stephen Ireland (went on to be a fans favourite)
Micah Richards
Robinho (Won't get the chance to be the fans favourite we all know he could be)

Four black players and one irish.

Nicky Summerbee anyone!!!!

Please dont be so arrogant to believe the reaon robie is leaving is because you believe him to be a fans boo boy, firstly he isnt and never has been booed from the stands and secondly he is off because his on pitch contribution this season isnt as good as bellamy petrov or teves and he cant handle being a sub

Samaras too ?? I don't think you really gave this enough thought before accusing people of racism.

According to wiki (i know its not reliable) he was born in Urmston, that makes him a manc in my eyes.

yep fair enough, wasn't sure

the point about the difference between what is said on hear and what happens at the ground is an interesting one.... adebayor has been slated left right and centre on here, but still gets vocal support at the games. hughes was destroyed repeatedly on here but I don't think there was any real dissent aimed at him in the ground (Big Mal's Cigar is the exception that proves the rule).

it's true tho that what is said on here is seen by the media and players alike. how seriously they take it, I don't know. but it can't be nice for anyone to read some of the things that are said on here, and the more people that post it, the more disturbing it could be. I'm sure any sensible player takes it all with a pinch of salt, but still....

like I say, it's a group thing. the more people that join in the criticism, the more likely it is that some real idiots go way over the top. it's nasty to read, and real, sustained negativity somehow changes the atmosphere for everyone, it's harder to feel positive about the team even when we win, it undermines that feeling of togetherness.

one of mancini's traits is his unwillingness to pick out individuals for public criticism, win or lose it's all about the team. it's something I admire because I think it's wise. even if it's too much to expect from everyone, all of the time, to me, the more people start to act in the same way, the better. we're going places, there's just no need to worry excessively about any one player.

i have said this time and time again mate....NEGATIVITY BREEDS NEGATIVITY....not only is it highly infectious, but it is also destructive in it's very nature

I cant believe that some of you niave fools actually think that Robinho has been boo'd out of the club, I have never heard once any noise of discontent at the ground aimed at robinho. and if your suggesting he reads this, you really need to check out his english!

The simple truth is that he cant hack the prem, its way to physical and quick for him, god he didnt even shine yesterday against a very poor yet up for the game cuntthorpe.

If Mancini wanted him then he would be staying, how did it take to suss him out, oh yes one game or should i say 70 mins.

I wish along with you all that robinho made it and as ststed before would gladdly eat a big plate of humble pie.... but its just not going to happen.

I know eleven who will be playing on wednesday that SHOULD be boo boys

You will spot them quite easy they will have red shirts on :-}

it's a group psychology thing. everyone gets frustrated with players, and all players are criticised at one time or another, but somehow, sometimes, the group decide between them that it is open season on a particular player... people's perceptions change, when they are playing badly it's because they are 'lazy' or 'uncommitted', they focus more and more on the bad, they 'minimise' the good things they do. like someone yesterday said that robinho was lucky that his goal didn't go over the bar.

I couldn't give a toss about robinho but that shot couldn't possibly have gone over.

You've nailed it with that comment, that's the crux of the entire thing for me. Hence the media calling Robbie's performance 'pathetic' yesterday even though he played well.

They've already made up their minds and are too lazy or stupid to change their opinions based on what they're actually seeing.

I do not agree with anyone being made a "boo boy". But I am sorry I do not believe that Robinho has been "hounded out". If he goes, it will be because of his own inability to make an impact on the premiership, not down to anyone's like or dislike of him on Blue Moon or in the crowd. Get a grip!
